Wine Awards Night
Supporting our local producers
JOIN US ON FRIDAY 28 OCTOBER AS WE RAISE A GLASS TO THE AWARD-WINNING WINE FROM 2022 IN THE COMPANY OF AUSTRALIA’S MOST OUTSTANDING HIGH ALTITUDE WINEMAKERS
Open to regions from all over Australia, the show attracts producers from the Southern Highlands, Orange, Mudgee, Tumbarumba, Hilltops, New England, Canberra District and Adelaide Hills.
Now in its 12th year the winners are selected by an esteemed judging panel over two days. In 2021 this was led by Toni Paterson MW together with Rob Geddes MW, winemaker Aaron Mercer, wine writer Paul Diamond and sommelier Ashlyn Foster.
Over 120 entries were received in the 2021 show, with judges commenting on the high quality of entries – especially as so many exhibitors lost an entire vintage in the Black Summer bushfires.
Out of the 88 medals awarded in 2021, an impressive 41 medals were won by local wines.

After another challenging year, due to the global pandemic and devastating weather that affected many of Australia’s wine regions, we’re thrilled to announce that the Australian Highlands Wine Awards are back for 2022. We continue in the pursuit of the coveted title of Australia’s Best Wine With Altitude.
Celebrating some of Australia’s most resilient winemakers, emerging with vintages like no other, this is a big night for a wine show that recognises the best wines made with fruit grown at 500m or more above sea level.
Book now and attend the Wine Awards night where we unveil the winners at local producer, Southern Highlands Winery.
